On Tuesday, October 26, the Guadalupe COVID-19 Community Response Team was recognized at a reception with ASU President Dr. Crow. This interagency team consisted of staff from the ASU COVID-19 Case Investigation Team, the Town of Guadalupe Town, Native Health, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. The team was awarded the 2021 President’s Medal for Social Embeddedness. Formed in June of 2020, these community partners came together to help the town of Guadalupe manage the effects COVID-19 was having in their community.
